Paper Flowers

The above picture is of a bunch of flowers made out of paper and garden wire. I found instructions for these in the recent Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine.
These were just what I was looking for a table decoration at a Wedding Fayre I was doing.

This would be ideal for flower girls and table decorations.

A long awaited Layout has finally been completed!

Well the New Year is certainly here and I have promised myself that I am going to scrap more for myself this year! I have so many photos that I want to do that i have challenged myself to do one layout a week.

I have done 2 very basic ones already but this one deserves to be on the blog.
All th background papers have come out of my scraps box which is overflowing! So I thought I would make a start on using them up!

Over on UKS my team Urban Faeries is setting the weekly challenge in the following week and this is my example for the challenge.

We had to design our own background paper, include stamping, embossing, use summery colours and use lace.

It has been a while since my last post but I have been really busy!
I have set up a website for my Wedding Stationary,also a Bridal Studio is displaying my Wedding Invitation samples and I have had a load of general greetings card orders to complete too! Busy Busy busy which is great.(just didn't expect things to take off as quickly as this!)

Here is a LO I did for the Weekly Challenge on UKS.We had to create a LO which wasn't 12x12,a large embellishment etc and to use bright colours.
It's a LO of Catrin's 2nd Birthday Cake which she chose herself! She just looks so worried that I have lit the candles.Bless.

May House Challenge

This is a LO I created for the May House Challenge on UKS.
The challenge was, if we had an extra day to do whatever we wanted what would you do?
My LO shows that I would want to go back in time to when my daughter was just born.I loved having cuddles with her because she was so small and precious.Something that we don't do so much of anymore! Well she is 2 yrs old after all and into everything!!!

I took some photo's of my friends little boys and did these canvases as a thank you present for being a good friend.

She is really pleased with them ( thank goodness )!

This is an Accordion Box File which was requested by a customer.
It has all been made out of cardstock and embellished with flowers, ribbons and background paper made using distress inks etc.

Well it came round far too quickly but it's the same every year! I always say that I will start earlier next year , but it never happens!
I worked right up til the last minute but I must say it was well worth it.

The 1st Christmas Fayre was yesterday and it went really well.
The things that rushed off the table were Calender fridge magnets , jewellery made from fimo , Mini photo albums/recipe books and small cards(ATC size) in packs of 3.
I hardly sold any gift tags, broaches or gift boxes.
They will come in handy for the next sale which is a week on saturday and I only need to restock on Welsh Christmas cards and Calender fridge magnets.

Iris on Canvas

This is my 1st every attempt at an altered canvas using distress inks,glimmer mists and grungepaper! Quite pleased with this but a lot of things need to be practised.
The picture is of Iris in her youth who was my Nan's sister.Sadly she is no longer with us.
I hope I would have made her proud of what I have achieved.

Polka Doodles Week 16 Challenge.

This is the 1st time that I have entered a Polka Doodles Challenge.
The Challenge is Spots and Stripes using one of their CD's.I used the Candy Doodles CD.

I have created a garden gate with flowers and birds and when you open the card you have a hillside with trees and birds.The only extra things I have used to create this card is coloured card stock,buttons ribbon and a brad.

Well I have just finished making 2 mini books for my son's nursery teachers.He has only been with them since february this year but he has come a long way with his Welsh since being with them.So as a thank you I decided to make them a mini book of photos which have been taken on school outings etc!

My Little Ray Of Sunshine!

This is a LO that I have created this evening and I have decided that this is my favourite LO so far!
I used Picasa 3 to blur the main picture and to make it black and white.Then I used cardstock, die-cuts and rubbons from The Katlin Collection Kit by Crate Paper.

Eventhough my Little girl is going through that moaning stage I take one look at this LO which reminds me that she is My Little Ray Of Sunshine! Her 1st go on a swing which she enjoyed so much makes me smile from ear to ear!!!

Well the last 4 weeks my time has been taken up by making decorations etc for my cousins wedding which was on 16th Many 2009. This is the first time I have every decorated a venue and I was quite pleased with the end result!

Craft Stamper ATC Swap

I have decided to have a go at making some more ATC's. This being my 1st attempt at actually being in an ATC swap. The ATC's are being sent to The Craft Stamper Magazine who hold a themed swap every month and this month the theme was Birds.

I used a swirl stamp from Dulcie Jackson using clear embossing powder and then inked it with yellow and blue.I then used the free bird stamp that came with the magazine this month and added accents with gel pens.I then added some beading to each corner.
The photo doesn't really capture the sparkle of the ATC's but you can see what I have done.
Really looking forward to receiving other ATC's in return to see what other people's interpretation of the theme.

Denzel Card. ( Dewdrop Craftz Challenge )

This is a card I have made for the Dewdrop Craftz Challenge.The challenge is to create something for the men! Pop over to the blog to find out more as anyone can take part.
This stamp is Denzel the Dog which I have purchased from Dewdrop Craftz which was shouting out for a kennel!
I wanted to make a little card which I could give to my husband just to remind him how much I love him " A little note..............to say I love you so much ".

Hopefully I have managed to create a cute card!!!

Here is my creation for Dewdrop Craftz Challenge.

We had to come up with something which wasn't a card! This got me thinking for quite a while.............As been as my son is starting school in September I thought about making him a clock to help him learn the numbers and to recognise how to tell the time.
It is a long way off before he will be able to do that but we have to start somewhere!

Hopefully cute Clara can help him ( Clara is a stamp purchased from Dewdrop Craftz )

Well I read somewhere in a magazine that you should try something new every year.

So I saw that as a challenge and decided to have a go at making fashion jewellery!

This is one is the 1st necklace that I have made and now I am hooked and can't stop!

I have recycled an old chain and added some beads! As this was a present for my brother-in-laws wife I had to make a box for it to go in!

Here's to many evenings of making jewellery! I just have to figure out how I am going to incorporate it into scrapbooking etc.

Autumn Adventure

This layout is for Dewdrop Crafts weekly challenge.

In the picture is my husband on a tree swing that we came across on a walk.When he saw it he just had to have a go and I couldn't blame him cause it was a bitterly cold day.The wind was blowing all the leaves about in circles.

I decided to cut a big tree out of brown bazzill to make it look as though the picture was hanging from this tree.I also cut out vellum leaves and stuck them down as though they are falling from the tree.

The layout reminds me that eventhough winter is fast approaching, summer isn't the only season that brings fun and laughter! Autumn is a time to explore nature at it's very best!

It was so nice to make a layout instead of Christmas cards!

Fairy Love stamp by Valerie Wade

I got this stamp from Dewdrop Crafts and it was crying out to be used for a card!
I wanted to do something a little different to what I normally do so I decided that it was to be a pop up card.
I stamped the image onto watercolour paper with Staz on ink pad and coloured it in with watercolour pencils ( another thing that I have never done before ) and i am rather pleased with it!
It brought out the little girl in me!

Idea Book.

Well I have finally decided to make a small Idea Book for when my inspiration is flowing but no stash available to hand!I was fed up looking everywhere for a book that would be suitable so proceeded to make one myself.

My friend gave me a kit of black and white patterned paper which started off my inspiration.
1st I bought a pack of plain postcards which I placed holes in and then cut a back and front cover from scrap card, slightly bigger than the postcards.Then I covered the card in the patterned paper and placed holes in the same place as the pages.Then I added eyelets.

I attatched the whole book together with white ribbon and decorated the front cover with 3d flower embellishments and stick on letters also a embossed fairy.

Now I can take it anywhere with me and if something pops in my head I can scrpbble away!!!

Message In A Bottle Swap

I recently took part in swap on UKScrappers which involved filling a drinks bottle with bits and pieces that we would then send to one another.

I received a bottle from Gail and this is the contents that I received.

I love all the bits and pieces and can't wait to use them so keep a look out for them.

My 1st ever ATC!

Well I have joined a swap on UKScrappers which is called Message in a Bottle.

We have to fill a 500ml drinks bottle with stash and to send it to the next person.

We have to include an ATC which I have never done before! So feeling a little nervous I got going and this is what I came up with!

I am rather pleased with it and I got my inspiration from a fairy stamp I just ordered.I used clear and silver embossing powder on the fairy and clear powder on the journal stamp.

The backing paper is wrapping paper which I had for my birthday and I love it!

I just hope that my swap partner will like it!

Robbie Williams 2003 Hanging album.

This hanging album was for my brothers 33rd birthday.

We went to see Robbie Williams at Knebworth Park back in 2003 and I wanted to display the photo's in a way that would remind him of the great time that we had.

All that I bought in addtition to the stash I already had for this was red and black 12x12 cardstock.

I just decorated the pages as I would do normally for a 12x12 scrapbook.Then I stuck ribbon inbetween the to create the wall hang.Its double sided so when you want a change you just turn it round.

This was my first attempt at doing anything like this and I am rather pleased with it!
